GUYS AND DOLLS - Tickets are now on sale for Brophy’s spring musical production—Guys and Dolls.  They may be bought for $7.00 each from any cast member, Ms Dennard in the SAC or Ms. Dunnion in B210.  The show will run three nights only: Thursday-Saturday, March 18, 19, 20, at 7:00PM.

EARTH HOUR….. TURN OFF LIGHTS, USE MINIMAL ELECTRICITY  ON SATURDAY, 3/27 8:30-9:30pm - Turn out your lights, show support - https://www.myearthhour.org/home.  In 2009 hundreds of millions of people around the world showed their support by turning off their lights for one hour.  Earth Hour 2010 will continue to be a global call to action to every individual, every business and every community. A call to stand up, to show leadership and be responsible for our future.  Pledge your support here and turn off your lights for one hour, Earth Hour, 8.30pm, Saturday 27th March 2010.

COUNSELING

BOY’S STATE - Final call to any student interested in attending Boy’s State.  If you have received information, you must still confirm with Mrs. Novak @ mnovak@brophyprep.org that you are absolutely interested in attending.

Attention Juniors: anyone interested in taking Brophy’s SAT Review classes should see Mr. Danforth in Eller-216 for information. Classes run every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00-5:00, and are a bargain at $100. All classes begin Tuesday, March 23rd and are open to any interested Brophy or Xavier student.

CAMPUS MINISTRY

Attention All Sophomores who wish to complete their Junior Justice Project this summer

The deadline for registering for Summer JJP is Friday, March 19. You must register for this COURSE just as you would for any other Summer School course, by submitting the Summer School Registration form and payment to Ms. Novak in the counseling office. For further information on the Junior Justice Project, visit the OFJ page on the Brophy website. Registrations will not be accepted after March 19.

 

Father-Senior Retreat, March 26-28, Manresa Retreat Center

Seniors interested in going with their dads on the Father-Senior retreat can pick up a registration form in Mrs. Hornbeck’s office this week or on the left column of the front page of Brophy website. Deadline for registration is this Friday, March 12. Mr. White and Mr. Broyles are leading this retreat, and it will be a great weekend for you and your dad to hang out together, talk about things, and just have a good time with other Brophy dads and seniors.

Fr. Greg Boyle, SJ, founder of Homeboys Industries will be presiding at the 9AM Mass on Sunday, March 14th at St. Francis Xavier. He will be available after Mass under the Hospitality Tents. NCIS-Investigating our Faith – A retreat for Catholic Scouts in grades 1-12 presented by the Diocese of Phoenix Catholic Committee on Scouting…Saturday, March 20, 2010, Heard Scout Pueblo, 20th St. & Dobbins, Ph, 8:30AM-9PM…Camping is available Friday and/or Saturday.  Arrive after 4PM on Friday, March 19 and depart by 11AM on Sunday, March 21. $18 per person (no camping); $20 per person (camping included for 1 or 2 nights); $60 family rate (4+ includes retreat & camping nights). Pat’s Run 2010 is coming!!  The race will take place on Saturday April, 17th at 7AM.  All students interested in being a part of Team AMDG should see Coach Heideman for Details.  We will have a short meeting later this month to go over registration.  Any prior participants that know how to sign up should know that a password to join the team was implemented this year.  The password is BCP.  Please feel free to invite friends and family to join you as we celebrate the life of Pat Tillman.  Once again, any questions please see Coach Heideman
